I must have entered the wrong date for the counter, cause I had my first radiation today. Maybe I shouldn't call it radiation, cause the first time it's some sort of 'simulation' that they do. They drew all those little crosses and lines on half of my torso, and made measurements of where they had to radiate. The lines have to stay on my body for the time of radiation, which means 6 weeks! Also, I'm not allowed to use any soaps, creams, perfumes, ointments on that area for that time!! Just plain water. I feel like I'm gonna be stinking big time!
Anyway, it went pretty well. It was freezing though! I had to lay still for about half an hour. The less you move, the more they're precise, so, it's pretty important. I feel quite content with myself. I managed to do LOADS! Get a car insurance fixed, then radiation, then physiotherapist, then number plates fixed, and then finally driving my brand new (second hand car) to the bakery to order a birthday cake! Can't believe I'll be 31 in a couple of days... Time goes by so fast! But I don't feel old, for once.
