I am so happy right now!!! It's not something I usually say, but it's the first time I REALLY think it's gonna be alright. hope you like the new lay-out by the way. It's the beginning of a new start, that's why.
I saw a woman at the hospital today, and she boosted me completely. She was staying with me in the hospital room when I did my first ever surgery (to remove some eggs, remember?). I didn't really speak about her, cause I had other things on my mind. She was the sweetest. About 45/50 years old, and all smiles. She had finished all of her chemos when I met her, and she was at the hospital to remove the tumour scar from her breast. She was extremely satisfied by the whole procedure.
So today, after seeing Dr. Ig, whom I might not see again soon, I decided to grab a coffee and something to eat (appointment was at 7.50am!). I know coffee is no good before chemo, but it's something I can't give up. I like it too much. So I drink about 3 liters of water after each one. Anyway, that woman kept staring at me, and we smiled at each other, but didn't recognize each other!
When I decided to leave, she said "hi" and that's when I recognized her. Her face was all lit up and her hair had grown about 5 cm! She looked radiant and happy. We talked for about 30 minutes and decided to meet up again. She makes everything look so easy. Even though she had to go through 2 surgeries instead of one, and that she even had to do radiotherapy. I'm really impressed.
It's really good to see people who go through the same illness and same process as I. It definitely helps you to project your own future and to forget about the little difficulties in life.
A video? It's a trailer I've just seen. It's called "Precious" but it's based on the book "Push" by Sapphire. After seeing the trailer I just have to read the book. I didn't expect it to be about abuse, etc. Have a look. But it's pretty harsh to watch. However, there's this very positive side to it, I think. I hope they'll play it in theatres in Brussels so I can see for myself...
Thanks again for all your support!
