It's day+3 and I woke up at 4.45am feeling really hungry. That's a great sign, even if it's just a feeling. Cause as soon as I try to eat something, nausea appears.
This time around though, I am really grateful of Dr. Ig. He promised he'd give me something to protect my stomach throughout the chemo and it paid off. I did vomit several times more in comparison with the 1st time when I couldn't vomit anything. But that meant I felt better everytime I did. Like some sort of relief. The first time I had nausea non-stop for 3 days and 3 nights! This time, they only appeared late in the evening, and started very softly. At night it got worse, and throughout the next day. Then softer again, and almost gone, before reappearing even softer. I do have to add I drank about 4 liters of water in 2 days and a half! That helped!
This morning, I feel good. Weak and tired, but I think the worse is already over. Now, I just need to cope with taste alteration (everything tastes the same =water, or disgusting =metal) and find some foods which I can eat.
I'm so glad they gave you something to soften the side effects. That you feel hungry must be a good sign, but not overindulge this time. Find something that's easy on the stomach. I hope you'll find something that takes that metal taste away. Big hug, Silvia
