The hairloss is getting worse. I'm torn between shaving what's left on my head or keeping what I've got. It's a hard decision to take. I've always known I'd lose my hair eventually... but seeing the packs of hair in my hand when all I've done is stroke my head... that's too hard. It's quite itchy too, and sometimes it burns. It's all very bearable though compared to what I've been through.
I have to cut it short... extremely short. If only I could find the strength to do it...
This must be a tough decision, especially when you always had such long hair as you. My stepfather shaved it very short after he started chemo. He decided to do it before it fell out. Now 1 1/2 month after the last chemo, it already is back in most places, but he keeps it very short so that the bald spots in between don't stand out that much. But of course, it never looks as hard on a man than on a woman. But just go with your feelings...
