Taxotere is a vicious vicious drug... It's day +6 and I've only just found the strength to type some more news. Not sure how I can describe it. I thought FEC was horrible, but, Taxotere is so much worse. Where FEC only affects your digestive system, Taxotere affects every single part of your body. Only good thing you don't cope with nausea. Woohoo...
It started with exhaustion and muscular and joint pain. One morning I woke up and after brushing my teeth, I vomited. Out of nowhere, with an empty stomach. Then the cramps appeared. Unbearable abdominal cramps. Honestly... I thought I was gonna die. It's the type where you can't think straight anymore, and a cold sweat bursts out of you, and your legs start to tremble. I think I fainted twice in the toilet. I was so constipated because of the drugs that everytime "something" fell out, it was so rock hard, it sounded like a coin falling into a pool... Sorry for the gruesome details.
After the cramps and more vomiting I went through a horrible moment of getting rid of the "stones" in my body. I thought I'd be able to breathe after that, but I was too weak. I still can't walk. Now I have to cope with mucositis... which is like an irritation of the throat, or THE mother of throat infections. It's so painful I can only sip liquids. Swallowing... huh...
Anyway, I think the worse is over now. But I'm planning to go and see a doctor if this continues tomorrow. Thanks for all the messages of support. You know they go straight to my heart.
Love...
Ca ma brise le coeur de te lire, la seule petite chose qui adoucit ma tristesse c'est de penser que tu es avec ta famille et j'espere vraiment que le pire est derriere toi. Je t'embrasse fort fort Sali. Dani x
