Sia... I found out about this Australian singer/songwriter on a Polish music channel during the commercials, in other words: completely by accident. It's love at first sound. It's so cool when you download an album not expecting much and then it turns out to be over your expectations...
I can't believe this one is already her 4th or 5th album. Her voice is like some sort of weird mixture of Tori Amos (must be the Australian influence) and an alien. Her lyrics are very inventive and simple at the same time. Once again, I must be the last person to have heard about her. One of my friends who's not that into music said she'd heard about her before.
She's quite amazing. Check out her superb performance of Soon We'll Be Found live on David Letterman. She also sang the final song of Six Feet Under called "Breathe Me".
